Educational Visits
Our Cathedral is an inspirational and multi-sensory resource for learning right across the curriculum and beyond. Not only does a visit to the Cathedral support teachers and pupils in their cross-curricular programme of study, it also widens their cultural, artistic and spiritual education. We have developed a new Discovery Tour and Trail entitled ‘Cathedral & Community’ which can be pitched at different levels and focuses on R.E., but also contains elements of Art, History, Science and Citizenship which is underpinned by the symbolic art and architecture of the building.
We can also offer a Tower tour which will show you the delights of Norwich and Norfolk from an elevated position. Lunch time facilities are available as well as a beautiful garden to view the Cathedral from a different angle. Pupils may want to buy a memento of their visit from our shop. Your visit can also be cross-curricular introducing, for example, the Art and History of Catholicism in this area or what we can learn from a Christian building.
