The Library, named after Canon Richard Duckett, who was a prime mover in the plans for building the Cathedral, is sited off the Sunk Chapel (see map) in the South Aisle of the Nave.
This lending library, staffed by volunteers, has around 4,000 religious publications. Membership is available to the Cathedral congregation, the local community and the Diocese of East Anglia, in return for a small annual subscription (download membership form).
The Library hosts talks and exhibitions from time to time, as advertised on the website. All activities are open to new members.
Donations towards the ongoing development of the Duckett Library are welcome, as are appropriate books. Cheques can be made payable to: ‘The Cathedral of St John the Baptist Duckett Library’
