The Refectory
If you’re looking for a friendly and welcoming place to meet up with friends or to stop by for a bite to eat, then visit the Narthex Refectory.
Open from Tuesday to Saturday between 10.30am and 4pm, the Refectory is a great spot to enjoy some homemade specialities for morning coffee, lunch or tea. Its spacious and airy location and the Cathedral’s lovely garden makes it an ideal place for those with young children or for those who simply want to relax in a beautiful and tranquil setting.
The Refectory offers a range of Fairtrade teas and coffees, drinks, homemade cakes and scones, freshly made sandwiches, paninis and soup of the day, and daily specials for lunch. Most of the food is homemade using as much local produce as possible. The Refectory also tries to accommodate different dietary requirements including gluten-free and sugar-free alternatives. The affordable prices also make it ideal for those on a budget.
