Responding to the refugee crisis

This Easter– act in solidarity with those who are forced to flee their homes. Pledge every step that you walk from now until Pentecost Sunday to the Share the Journey campaign and help CAFOD to reach their goal of walking around the world for the 5th time since March 2018 by contributing to another 24901 miles – the distance of the whole world

28 parishioners from St John’s  pledged the Stations Walk on Good Friday towards this campaign.  It was a ramble through the city visiting 14 churches whilst praying the Stations of the Cross – clocking 140 miles for the share the journey campaign.

You can also get involved in this campaign by simply logging the steps and miles that you walk each day.  Here are some top tips on how to get involved:

-Clock the steps/miles you walk day
-Write them down and add them to the CAFOD website – share the journey
-Even the steps you take to the car or when shopping count
-Say a prayer for refugees as you walk
