The Young Adults meet after the evening Mass on Tuesday. 18+ are always welcome.

The Renewal Prayer Group will meet next on Tuesday 13th April.

The Wednesday Prayer Group meet on Wednesday evenings also on Wednesdays there is an hour of Taize prayer from 6-7 pm in the weekday chapel.

Last year Fr James' Coffee Mornings proved a great success both financially and socially, bringing folk together from all corners of the parish and beyond. We plan to continue these throughout 2010 commencing on April 14th at 10.30 am at the home of Maureen Fitzmaurice, Lynch Green, Hethersett. There will be refreshments, a "Bring & Buy" sale and a raffle. 

Diocesan Pilgrimage Youth Walk to Walsingham - A sponsored walk, raising money for

CAFOD, Cambodia, the Holy Land and World Youth Day. Camping on the evening of May 2nd, and arriving in time for Mass as part of the Diocesan Pilgrimage on May 3rd. Information at the back of the church or go to www.catholiceastanglia.org/youth or Tel:01508 494833.

Coach will leave St John's for the East Anglian Diocesan Pilgrimage to Walsingham on Monday 3rd May at 9.45 am. Tickets priced at £5 per person from the Cathedral shop. 

Sponsor a Candle arrangement to fill the Cathedral main aisle in our Centenary Festival of Flowers 24th-27th June. For £25 a dedicated candle arrangement for the festival can be taken away afterwards to keep as a permanent memorial. Sponsorship forms at the back of the Cathedral. Cheques payable to St John's R C Cathedral Flower Festival.

Thank you for the donation of £256 to the Cathedral Flower Group.

St John's SVP is hoping to join forces with other churches and start a food bank in Norwich. Norwich food bank is part of a national network of food banks giving 3 days supply of nutritionally balanced emergency food to people in crisis who have nowhere else to turn.  Leaflets will be available after Masses on Sunday outlining ways you can help. Food can be placed in the SVP food box which is situated near the entrance to the Narthex. Thank you.

Headteacher John Pinnington of Notre Dame High School is retiring at the end of this coming school year. If you would like to add to the ‘Send off Book' or send your best wishes contact jpleaving@notredamehigh.norfolk.sch.uk. Closing date for entries is 1st June.

The Appeal for the new Heating System in the Cathedral continues. £1,592 was donated last week which brings the total so far to £3,529.45. Envelopes and Gift Aid forms are available at the back of the Cathedral. Everyone is invited to make a donation.

Next Sunday Fr Mark Minihane will preach an appeal for the Augustinian Missions.
