The Renewal Prayer Group meets in the Narthex after the 10 am Mass on Tuesday 4th May. The Young Adults meet after the evening Mass on Tuesday. On Wednesdays Taize prayer at 6-7 pm in the weekday chapel. The Wednesday Prayer Group meets at 7.30 pm in the Narthex.
URGENT: We desperately need more people to help clear the Cathedral garden in time for the centenary events starting in May. Just turn up between 1.00 and 5.00 on any Saturday. If you can, bring a bucket, gloves and small hand tools; you will be warmly welcomed!
URGENT: Volunteers required for the Cathedral Shop after the 9 am Sunday Mass and 6 pm Saturday Mass. Training given. Ring Imelda Nch 501208/728937 Tuesday to Friday 10.30 am-1 pm.
A number of parishioners will have received a formal invitation to the official opening of the Narthex on Saturday 22nd May. This will include a service of thanksgiving for all those who have worked so hard to make the Narthex possible. If you have not received an invitation and would like to be present, you are most welcome. So that we may have some idea of numbers to cater for, please add your name and contact details to the list in the Rotunda of the Narthex no later than 7th May.
The 2nd Baptism preparation class for parents is in Cathedral House from 4-5 pm on Saturday 8th May.
A VACANCY has arisen for a full-time cook/catering supervisor in The Narthex. Please contact Clare Goddard if you would like to know more (01603 724380).
Please bring a cake for the cake stall in aid of the Chile Earthquake on Sunday 9th May, in the Narthex, after the Masses. The proceeds will go via CAFOD.
Last chance to purchase your ticket for the East Anglian Diocesan Pilgrimage to Walsingham on Monday 3rd May. Tickets £5 per person from the Cathedral shop. Coach departs St John's at 9.45 am!
Over 60s Coach Trip to Walsingham and Wells, Thursday 13th May. Coach tickets £5. Coach Trip to Southwold and Dunwich (for fish and chips!), Thursday 17th June. Combined cost £15. The Coach leaves on both occasions at 10.15 am, arriving back in Norwich 5.00 pm. Non-members welcome! Phone 01603 456176 to reserve a place.

Annual Diocesan Celebration of Marriage and Family Life with Bishop Michael Saturday 3rd July 2010 at St John's Cathedral. Mass with renewal of Marriage Commitment at 11 am followed by a buffet lunch in the Narthex. All couples and families are invited. Certificates will be presented to those couples celebrating 1st, 5th, 10th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 40th, 50th and 60th anniversaries this year and to families where there is a baby under 1 year.
