Parishioners at St John’s Cathedral in Norwich have been praying for those affected by the devastating floods in Kerala in south India, including some families from Norwich who were caught up in the disaster.
On August 20, a special Adoration was held in cathedral from 7pm to 9pm to pray for floods affected Kerala. Some families from Norwich were reportedly stranded in the floods.
Sony Joseph said: “We really need to pray for Kerala. Millions have lost their homes and are without food, water, medicine and electricity. The death toll continues to rise, and many have been taking shelter in overcrowded rescue camps. They are in great need of aid, and we can’t just stand by and watch as our brothers and sisters suffer.”
