The Catholic Agency for Overseas Development is holding an Online Mass to pray for those in India being affected by the Coronavirus Pandemic.

India is facing a devastating second wave of coronavirus, with more than 16 million cases and 200,000 deaths confirmed. Father Paul Moonjely, pictured, Executive Director of our partner agency Caritas India, has told us they are reaching out to the most vulnerable households. Their frontline workers and volunteers are working around the clock to provide healthcare. You can read more here. CAFOD has already pledged £200,000 to Caritas India.

Donations to our Coronavirus Appeal will allow us to reach more families around the world and to help support Caritas India’s response. We will be writing to parish priests about the situation in India and to suggest they include a notice in parish newsletters to invite parishioners to support our Coronavirus Appeal.

Join us for a special Mass on Friday 7 May at 6.30pm to pray for the people of India. Register here.
