THE EPIPHANY OF THE LORD | 6th January 2021
This great Solemnity is a Holy Day of Obligation in England and Wales. The Magi were not Jews, and they didn’t come from Israel. But their determination that the Christ Child was the salvation of Gentiles and Jews alike was a gift more precious than their earthly offerings. From his birth, Jesus’ commission was to show the uncompromising love of God, even to those from distant lands, and different faiths.
