Our next meeting is next Friday 20th April, with Josephine Jackson coming from Oxford on behalf of the national charity LIFE. Her talk is called, “Brick by Brick: St John Paul II’s Culture of Life and What We Can Do to Help Build It”.
Before the meeting, Mrs. Jackson will be present as we set up our own Norwich Friends of Life group, and discuss how we can support pro-life initiatives in the local area. We have decided to do this on the back of other things that have happened recently here – notably the pro-life Eucharistic procession through the city back in October, and the 40 Days for Life which we held outside the Bowthorpe Road BPAS clinic during Lent. This, plus the requests from people in Norwich and further afield for more initiatives, makes it seem the right time to establish a pro-life group in this area.
So for next Friday the plan is:
6 pm – Norwich Life Group meeting in the Café, for those who are interested in getting involved
7 pm – “Bar” open, also in the Café, with Yakima Gold (4.2 %) pale ale from Crouch Vale Brewery in Essex (hops from Washington State, US).
7.20 – Talk
